The North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) expands learning opportunities for students across the state by offering rigorous online courses and services that may not be available at their local schools. NCVPS provides a wide selection of academic offerings, including Advanced Placement (AP), honors, career and technical education (CTE), world languages, Occupational Course of Study (OCS) courses, and middle school courses. As a statewide supplemental program, NCVPS gives students access to highly qualified, certified North Carolina teachers and flexible online learning, regardless of where they live. Public, private, and home school students can take NCVPS courses, either from school labs or at home, and receive high school or middle school credit. While all NCVPS courses are credit-bearing, they are not self-paced and follow structured pacing guides designed to keep students on track. NCVPS also supports students with tutoring, IEP/504 accommodations, enrichment activities, and college and career planning tools.
