The North Carolina Virtual Public School provides online courses and support services to students across North Carolina, broadening access to coursework that may not be available at local schools. Its catalog includes Advanced Placement, honors, career and technical education, world languages, Occupational Course of Study, and middle school courses, all credit-bearing and delivered through structured pacing rather than self-paced learning. Courses are taught by qualified North Carolina teachers and are available to public, private, and home-schooled students, who can participate from school labs or at home, with tutoring, IEP/504 accommodations, enrichment activities, and college and career planning tools. Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, NCVPS operates as a statewide supplemental e-learning program. In January 2020, NCVPS launched a Virtual Support Center to aid students with online learning and resources.
