North Cook Intermediate Service Center (NCISC) is a regional education service organization based in Des Plaines, Illinois, operating in the Education Administration Programs sector. Established in 1985 by the Illinois State Board of Education, NCISC was created to support local education professionals in northern Cook County (region 5) by delivering training and resources for all levels of school operations and staff. The center administers a System of Support funded through NCLB that works with schools and districts not achieving Adequate Yearly Progress to aid improvement. The organization employs between 51 and 200 people. In 2026, reports indicated NCISC expanded offices to Mount Prospect and closed its Des Plaines offices, with the North Cook Young Adult Academy planned to occupy half of a 63,000-square-foot building in Mount Prospect.
