North Star Medical Research was founded in April, 2007 by Mark J. Woyshville, MD, ABPM as an independent clinical research company.  After 15 years of experience in the field of clinical research, he aspired to start a company dedicated to providing sponsors with the highest quality trial data in a timely manner.  Dr. Woyshville is board-certified in both Psychiatry and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and a Member of the Sleep Research Society.  He is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio and is Board Certified in Preventive Medicine with a focus on addiction treatment.  

NSMR performs research all clinical populations and a variety of disease states, with a particular expertise in psychiatrics and neurosleep. NSMR was founded to perform focused, intensive, and interdisciplinary clinical research. We combine precision expected of an academic institution with the flexibility of an independent entity; this allows us to act and react in a timely fashion to the emerging needs and trends in medical research.
