Northern Hardwoods is an integrated hardwoods products company that manages the entire forest-to-products process – from harvesting timber to the production of hardwood lumber, pulpwood, and veneer logs. Northern Hardwoods was founded in Atlantic Mine, MI in 1968 and expanded to Newberry, MI in 2019 and Niles, MI in 2022.

Northern Hardwoods is surrounded by some of the purest white hard maple in the world. Mother Nature does most of the work that gives Northern Hardwoods such a unique maple tree, Northern Hardwoods has been very successful in designing a drying process that produces extremely WHITE lumber as a result, free of sticker stain and discoloration on a year-round basis.  Additionally, our proprietary drying processes guarantees an equalized and stress-relieved final product.

Northern Hardwoods has the capabilities to S2S (Surface 2 Sides) all of it products, along with Straight Line Rip One Edge and Rip to Width. Other capabilities include:
