The Northern Ohio Recovery Association, Inc. (NORA) is a community-based substance abuse prevention and peer recovery support organization whose purpose is to provide culturally relevant chemical dependency services presented with dignity and respect to youth, adults and families in Northern Ohio. Founded in 2004, in Cleveland, Ohio, NORA supports and provides prevention, treatment, and recovery services in Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Erie Counties. Our mission is to prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by providing quality services to communities of diverse cultures throughout Northern Ohio. Our vision is to establish a new level of care to support continued recovery. NORA’s goal is to blend a unique combination of professional clinical services, recovery housing, community , drug court and peer support, and a comprehensive continuum of care. Below are some of the addiction types we treat: Marijuana Alcohol Opiates: Heroin, Oxycontin, morphine, oxycodone, and more Co-occurring disorders: drug addiction and mental illness and/or eating disorders Methamphetamines: meth, speed, crystal, ice, Adderall, and more Anxiety drugs: Xanax, benzos, Klonopin, and more
