The Northshore Fire Department provides emergency services to the communities of Kenmore, WA and Lake Forest Park, WA with a population of approximately 35,000. Interim Fire Chief Greg Ahearn leads the department of 49 employees operating from two fully staffed fire stations with shift personnel working a four platoon schedule. The Department not only responds to fire, EMS and rescue emergencies, but also provides a full range of non-emergency services including fire prevention, public education and professional training. All Northshore firefighters are Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and five are Technical Rescue Technicians (TRT).
