Treatment at NorthStar Transitions is trauma informed, utilizing evidenced-based, experiential, and somatic therapies. We support a skills-based, interpersonal relationship healing model that enriches the client's therapeutic experience and community development. We focus on teaching clients how to disrupt their reflexive pattern of behavior, moving them beyond their addiction and enabling them to work through stuck traumas and co-occurring disorders. Through working experientially in group and individual therapy, we can also foster authentic healing interactions with peers and their therapist; making real life recovery possible. We aim to address each client’s unique challenges and needs in a non-confrontational and non-judgmental way. Using motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, somatic and experiential therapies, our intention is to assist clients in moving beyond their pre-contemplative or contemplative stage of change. Conjunct with clinical treatment, our dedicated treatment team helps clients develop critical life skills to build confidence, resilience and independence as self-sustaining healthy individuals prepared to take on a future free of substance abuse and addiction. Our continuum of care includes a 30 day residential program for grounding skills and regulation, a day program (PHP) for resourcing and exploration, and IOP for taking a deeper inventory into the root of their addiction. Clients receive individual and family therapy on top of their group experience, as well as psychiatric attention from our Board Certified Addiction Psychiatrist and medical team. We are an MAT friendly treatment program, and are licensed by the Office of Behavioral Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. We work with insurances on an in-network basis to provide quality treatment that is accessible.
