Northwest Immigrant Rights Project is a mid-sized nonprofit legal services organization based in Seattle, Washington, that defends and advances immigrant rights through direct legal representation, systemic advocacy, and community education. Its work helps thousands of immigrants navigate the U.S. immigration system, including asylum applications and other forms of protection, with the aim of securing lawful status. Without effective legal assistance, individuals may face a higher risk of deportation or return to conditions of ill treatment. In addition to direct services, NWIRP pursues impact litigation to shape national immigration policy and address issues such as racial profiling by border officials and the right to counsel for mentally ill immigrants facing deportation. The organization also provides immigration-related guidance to communities and maintains a wide network of service providers and attorneys while advancing policy reforms to empower the immigrant community. In September 2025, NWIRP participated in its Fall Solidarity Social at Icicle Ridge Winery in Peshastin, Washington.
