NuAire Lab Equipment is a Minnesota-based company in the research services industry, located at 2100 Fernbrook Lane, Plymouth, Minnesota 55447. Founded in 1971 by Max D. Peters, the company began in a home and later produced the first modern biological safety cabinet under an NIH contract. Its product portfolio includes Biological Safety Cabinets, CO2 incubators, laminar airflow workstations, animal handling equipment, ultralow temperature freezers, custom biological enclosures, pharmacy isolators, centrifuges, and polypropylene products. Manufacturing operates across three Minnesota locations with more than 300,000 square feet of space and a robotic sheet metal facility, supported by a distribution network of 60 North American sales representatives and over 100 distributors worldwide; NuAire is also the North American distributor for Haier Biomedical ultralow freezers and Hitachi centrifuges. In 2024, NuAire was acquired by Kewaunee Scientific Corporation.
