Nura was founded by Dr. David Schultz, a pioneer in interventional pain management. In his work as a practicing anesthesiologist in the 1990's, Dr. Schultz realized the need to treat chronic pain patients with a more comprehensive approach and went on to establish the region's first pain management clinic.

Over the past three decades, we’ve helped thousands of people get their chronic pain under control. Dr. Schultz, along with partners, Peter Schultz MD, MPH, Scott Stayner MD, Ph.D., and our team of specialists, provide you with a single resource for pain management – no shuttling from one provider to another.

The key to our approach centers around creating a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan that may include medication management, physical therapy, and behavioral counseling. For the most difficult cases, we offer a full range of minimally invasive procedures, including spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and targeted drug delivery via an intrathecal pain pump.
