nVision is a privately-held, clinical stage medical device company dedicated to filling the void in women’s health related innovation. Since its founding in 2011, the company has relentlessly focused on developing devices to enable clinicians to assess the health of the fallopian tubes. The company has raised approximately $17 million in venture funding to date. Our first device, the Mako 7 uses patented microcatheter technology to enable physicians to access the full length of the fallopian tube in a short, minimally-invasive hysteroscopic procedure to collect cell samples – in other words, enable a “pap smear” of the tubes. These cell samples can then be further analyzed by pathologists for various disease states. Mako 7 received FDA 510K clearance in June 2016.
