The NY Hotel Trades Council & Hotel Association of NYC Employee Benefit Funds administers health, pension, and other benefits for more than 85,000 union members, dependents, and retirees in the New York City hotel industry. These benefits are largely funded by industry employers and provided at little or no cost to members, with no individual contributions or health co-pays or deductibles, aside from a pharmacy co-pay for formulary drugs. The Funds operate in-house Health and Dental Centers across Harlem, Midtown, Queens, and Brooklyn, and run an Industry Training Center in Queens, supported by a workforce of nearly 1,000 doctors, nurses, pharmacists, counselors, clerks, and administrative staff. Benefits were established through a collective bargaining agreement between the New York Hotel Trades Council (the Union) and the Hotel Association of NYC, Inc. In December 2024, the Funds announced the acquisition of a 70,000-square-foot building at 636 Sixth Avenue in the Flatiron District, signaling expansion of facilities. The organization is based in New York City, New York.
