The Black Car Industry… Is not what it used to be. Due to new technology, the Black Car industry has evolved. There are new “APP” companies appearing and they are dispatching calls to drivers via smartphone apps. Black Car companies that have been around for the past 30 years or more now have to adjust themselves and bring in the same type of technology to compete in the market. Running an application alone is great, but having a call center and customer service to deal with clients and our drivers is a huge advantage to the new “APP” companies where there is no one to complain to, or simply to ask a question. In April of 2015, NYBLACKCAR joined a consortium of major New York City based black car and limousine companies. The consortium's core values are to consolidate services including dispatch, billing and technology. Its purpose is to provide customers with the best service available and its drivers the best opportunity to earn.
