Aspiring “FUN NEWS” organization + long-time pop-up cultural experience producer, NYLaughs, is a critically-acclaimed performing arts non profit that has presented stand up comedy shows that are free to the public in NYC since 2007.   

NYLaughs, through its signature stand-up series “Laughter in the Park” and “Laughter in the City,” has been bringing no-cover comedy sets to New Yorkers with a roster of program alumni that includes Hannibal Buress, Michael Che, Michelle Buteau + more. For 15 years, NYLaughs' outdoor events have enriched lives and let audiences soak up free Vitamin D without a drink minimum!  We've brought the fun to 15 parks and greenspaces, in addition to, partnering with NY institutions such as the NYPL, DOT, Battery Park City Authority, The Brooklyn Museum and Lincoln Center.

NYLaughs believes that laughter makes the world a better place by fostering informed, engaged and empathetic communities and has been working to reshape the city’s arts landscape by presenting events that inspire audiences + connect New Yorkers through humor.  NYLaughs is proud to be able to elevate the art form and to strengthen its voice in the arts through this endeavor.  NYLaughs' mission recognizes the importance of stand-up comedy as a unique NY cultural asset + community builder, but also in times like these, NYLaughs sees it as also being a source of comfort + resilience + communication and optimism.
