Oakland School for the Arts is a distinguished, tuition-free public charter school located in the heart of Oakland, California. We serve more than 800 students in grades 6 through 12, offering a transformative education that merges rigorous academics with cutting-edge arts instruction across ten disciplines. Our students receive 10 to 15 hours of weekly intensive arts training taught by professional artists, balanced with a strong academic foundation. Our Impact OSA graduates go on to attend prestigious universities, conservatories, and launch successful careers in the arts and beyond. Approximately 29% of our students benefit from the free or reduced lunch program or come from under-resourced Title 1 elementary or middle schools. Their success is fueled by a generous community that believes in equitable access to arts education.
