Oasen is a publicly owned Dutch drinking water utility focused on delivering water in a sustainable way with public health at the forefront. Based in Gouda, South Holland, the company serves more than 800,000 residents across 21 municipalities in eastern South Holland and southwestern Utrecht. Operationally, Oasen runs seven water purification facilities that treat groundwater drawn from the Lek river banks in the Groene Hart region to produce drinking water. Its ownership is public, with the 21 municipalities as shareholders, and every euro paid by customers is reinvested to improve the water supply. In 2018, after a successful pilot, Oasen began deploying Burst Find, a leak localization system, as part of its efforts to reduce losses and enhance distribution reliability.
