OCBC is a Singapore-based banking group formed in 1932 from the merger of three local banks, the oldest of which traces back to 1912. It is among the largest financial services groups in Southeast Asia by assets and carries a Moody's Aa1 rating, with regular recognition as one of the world’s safest banks and a recipient of Best Managed Bank in Singapore from The Asian Banker. The group provides a broad spectrum of financial services, including consumer, corporate, investment, private and transaction banking, as well as treasury, insurance, asset management and stockbroking activities, with Bank of Singapore serving private banking on an open-architecture product platform. OCBC serves markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Greater China, supported by more than 570 branches and representative offices in 19 countries and regions. The group’s subsidiaries include Great Eastern Holdings, the oldest life insurance group in Singapore and Malaysia, and Lion Global Investors, among the region’s largest private sector asset managers. In 2024, OCBC launched MOBI, an AI-powered career growth companion, reflecting its use of technology to support its business.
