Founded in 2017, Ocean Grown Ventures (OGV) is a California based holding & operating company that develops products and partnerships focused on bringing the highest quality solutions and scientific innovations in medical cannabis to the United States.

OGV’s executives believe in the power of medical cannabis, searching the globe to find the best partners in the space, and leading them to Israel. 

Israeli scientists are world renown for their breakthroughs in agriculture, technology, life science and software. Israel has taken this “Start-Up Nation” vigor into the cannabis industry. It was an Israeli scientist, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, who first discovered the main components of cannabis, and because cannabis is legal in Israel, Israeli companies have the unique ability to conduct clinical trials and research studies with government approval. 

Comparatively, the United States has restricted and virtually banned rigorous scientific research and applications of cannabis because cannabis remains a schedule I controlled substance under the federal Controlled Substance Act – these limitations leverage our Israeli partners to be innovative first movers with a barrier to entry virtually insurmountable in the US.
