Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is a regional museum located in Oceanside, California, dedicated to presenting the art and stories of Southern California artists since 1997. Through exhibitions, education programs, and events, it aims to provide a welcoming, inclusive hub where visitors of diverse ages and backgrounds can engage with creativity and learn through art, reflecting the coastal community's identity along the cultural corridor between Los Angeles and San Diego. Operating in the Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos sector, OMA functions as a small to mid-sized cultural institution focused on showcasing regional visual arts and exploring the transformative power of art. Based in Oceanside, it maintains a modest footprint and has recently announced a major campus expansion designed by Safdie Rabines Architects, marking a milestone in the organization's growth.
