The California Office of Legislative Counsel (OLC) is a nonpartisan public agency that provides confidential legal services to Members of the Legislature, the Governor, and other clients.  OLC attorneys practice law in a collegial and intellectually challenging environment, drafting legislative proposals, and offering legal guidance on novel and complex legal matters, with respect to every subject area of California law.
