Ogden’s Own Distillery began as an idea of Timothy Smith in the early 2000’s. While tinkering with different product concepts, Smith settled upon Underground Herbal Spirit as the product to first put Ogden’s Own Distillery on the map. With the assistance of some fellow Utahns, Underground Herbal Spirit launched into Utah Department of Alcohol Beverage Control stores in August of 2009. Since then, Ogden’s Own Distillery has released Five Wives Vodka, Five Wives Heavenly & Sinful flavored vodkas, Porter’s Whiskey Flavored Liqueurs and Madam Pattirini Gin. Through the continual support of Utah events, fundraisers, working with non-profits, and local businesses, the brands have become a staple of the Utah community and are growing in reputation in other parts of the United States as well. Ogden’s Own Distillery products are now carried throughout the county. At last count, you can find Underground Herbal Spirit in 22 states. They’ve made appearances in many favorite television shows and movies including The Big Bang Theory and Gone Girl. Ogden’s Own is the largest independent producer of spirits in Utah by volume, with Five Wives Vodka being the most popular brand of Utah produced spirits.
