The Ohio Health Care Association is a small-to-mid-sized nonprofit trade association based in Westerville, Ohio. It represents more than 1,000 long-term care facilities and related providers across the state, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as home health and hospice providers serving nearly 100,000 Ohioans. It is the largest long-term care association in Ohio and serves as the state's chartered affiliate of the American Health Care Association, connecting members to a nationwide network of more than 12,000 facilities. The association acts as an information and education resource for members, suppliers, consultants, and the public, keeping them informed about applicable laws and regulations and communicating best practices to support quality improvement in long-term care. It also advocates for its members by informing state legislators, government officials, the media, and consumers about issues affecting long-term care and the delivery of care. A notable recent development is the board's appointment of Scott D. Wiley as chief executive officer, effective January 2026.
