Ohio Humanities is a Columbus-based nonprofit that uses storytelling to foster public conversation. It supports storytellers across Ohio by hosting programs and awarding grants to a range of partners, from museums to journalists to documentary filmmakers. 

Among its recent initiatives, the organization launched a traveling exhibit about the history of the LGBTQIA community in Central Ohio in 2026, along with a digital resource hub and expanded archival collections. In a prior year, it partnered to publish Step by Step: How the Lincoln School Marchers Blazed a Trail to Justice, a nonfiction picture book for young readers. The group also collaborates with other cultural organizations and events to broaden access to local narratives statewide.
