Old Dominion Home Care began providing Caregiving services (Personal Care) for Seniors throughout the Northern Virginia region in 2007. We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Health. The owners, Sue Augst Roll and her brother, Kenny Augst grew up in Fairfax County, and feel a true sense of community to the seniors we serve . We realize how important family is but with distance and busy lives it is often difficult to provide the support and care that parents need to remain in their homes as they age. Old Dominion is able to provide the additional support and care that our clients need and to provide peace of mind for there families. In the Spring of 2017, we started a "Senior Visitor Program." We believe our new Senior Visitor Program exemplifies our motto “Become a Joy in a Senior’s Life.” As we all know, social isolation is often an unfortunate consequence of aging for many seniors, particularly for those with distant families, who no longer drive or who have mobility or memory issues. The Senior Visitor Program brings friendly and helpful visitors into the lives of these clients. Visitors will accompany clients to medical appointments and personal errands, plan fun social outings or simply share in good conversation and hobbies at home. Visitors do NOT provide personal care but greatly enhance the social and emotional well-being of our clients through these personalized relationships. And with broad educational, professional and personal interests to share, our visitors will help our clients stay active and engaged. We are committed to helping seniors find joy in there life, and in their homes as they age. We continually strive to exceed our client’s expectations and to provide the consistent, quality care they deserve.
