Old Mutual Specialised Finance (OMSFIN) is a principal risk management and alternative investment business within the Old Mutual Investment Cluster. 

The business was established in 1999 and pioneered the use of investment banking risk management techniques in the South African insurance industry. Our Credit and Portfolio Management team invests across the full spectrum of credit assets and manages a diversified credit portfolio in excess of R38 billion. Our ALM and trading team manage market risk including interest rate, inflation, liquidity and FX risk across the Group balance sheet with responsibility for 73bn of the Old Mutual’s liabilities and a further 21bn of risk product.

OMSFIN seeks to deploy capital through value creating, purpose led investment into the real economy that address the current challenges faced and builds a better economic future for South Africa.
