OLM is an Italian industrial machinery manufacturer focusing on precision mechanical machining with roots dating back to 1963. It earned certification to machine and test aeronautic and space components by 1973, establishing an aerospace-quality capability. In 1989 it began producing connecting rods for high-volume compressors, expanding from aluminum to cast iron and forming partnerships with several industrial compressor manufacturers to supply parts and assembled groups.

The 1990s brought growth into railroad carriages and transport components, extending its industrial footprint. In 2003 the company relocated to Volpiano to support the complete construction and high-pressure testing of compressor assemblies. A 2012 expansion at Settimo Torinese in Piemonte doubled the facility size and added space and cranes capable of handling large aerospace-grade parts.
