Olympia Fencing Center INC. is a private fencing club based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a second location in Newton, MA, established to promote the Olympic sport across all ages and skill levels. The centers provide facilities and programs for beginners through competitive fencers, offering month-to-month memberships, private lessons, summer camps, and clinics in a single-site, 6500 square-foot environment. Founded in 2012 and led by Daniel and Iulia Hondor, the organization emphasizes inclusive access and supports gender diversity, equity, and anti-racism initiatives as part of its operating philosophy. The club draws on substantial coaching experience, including the founder’s long history with the Romanian National Epee Team, and hosts foreign coaches who share the goal of developing high-level fencers, including those who advance to NCAA and Ivy League levels. In addition to training, Olympia positions itself as a feeder to collegiate fencing programs while maintaining a community focus that values cross-cultural collaboration. A recent expansion added a Newton location, broadening access to families in the region.
