Omnicode was the original name of Silicon Valley search firm, Terran
Systems, from its inception in April of 1993 to March, 1996.  The name was
chosen to convey the concept ("universal coders") that it didn't matter
which type of Software Engineer you required, the firm could find them.
Terran Systems ("people systems") was then chosen as a name that better
conveyed who we are, whom we represent and what we do.  At its founding, the
firm was a division of larger search firm Emersoft (defunct today).  Then in
January of 1997, Terran Systems was incorporated and spun out as its own
independent firm - see Terran Systems for further information.
