On My Team16 is an organization dedicated to enriching the lives and experiences of those affected by pediatric cancer, by raising funds for Children's Hospitals through athletics. We are a fantasy league for charity.
On My Team16 strives to ensure no child feels alone in their fight against cancer. Our mission is to provide personal comfort and support to pediatric oncology patients, families and caregivers. Every child will know they are a part of something bigger - part of a team focused on fighting and winning their battle together
OMT16 was inspired by Jack Sheridan, a young baseball pitcher who was diagnosed with Leukemia his sophomore year of High School and never thought he was going to be able to pitch again, let alone survive. The threat of having baseball taken away from him, really proved how much the sport, and the ability to compete athletically meant to him.
Even if we aren't the ones physically competing in athletic events, sports are still a large part of our life. If you, as a FAN, decide you want to support On My Team16, we will add YOU as one of OMT16’s teammates. Then, if you have specific team or favorite athlete you enjoy watching, they can be added to your “roster”. On My Team16 will track how your team(s) and/or athlete('s) on your roster performed throughout the season, and inform you. Similar to the fad, Fantasy Football. Then, you will be asked for your donation. This donation will be made to On My Team16 in the name of your roster team(s) and/or athlete(s). However, at the end of the day, the donation amount is completely up to the you, the donor, and does not have to be directly based off of the atheltes performance.
