One To World is a New York-based not-for-profit that promotes intercultural understanding by arranging face-to-face interactions among local communities, international students, and Fulbright scholars. Each year, the New York area hosts more than 100,000 international students and scholars from over 140 countries, and One To World coordinates experiences that facilitate cross-cultural engagement. The organization began about four decades ago and has since developed programs that connect Americans with visiting students through everyday activities such as hosting meals, stays with families or cadets, and educational workshops.
One To World is designated by the U.S. Department of State as the official Coordinator of Enrichment Programs for roughly 1,000 visiting Fulbright grantees in the greater New York area annually. In 2024, Seton Hall University announced a partnership with One To World, underscoring ongoing collaboration with higher education institutions to expand intercultural programming.
