One With the Ocean is a small nonprofit based in Los Angeles, California, operating in the philanthropic fundraising services field. It began as a group of ocean swimmers who held beach cleanups and evolved into a 501(c)(3) organization focused on expanding access to water for underserved communities.

Since November 2020, the organization has introduced more than 5,000 disadvantaged youths to aquatic activities, expanding from pool lessons to ocean experiences and extending outreach inland during the pandemic to mentor children from underserved neighborhoods. Its mission frames water access as a right rather than a privilege and seeks to reflect the diversity of Southern California’s coastal communities. It operates with a small team and concentrates on outreach and program delivery rather than commercial activities.
