The Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) is the regulatory authority for pharmacy practice in Ontario, established in 1871 and based in Toronto, operating within the public-safety sector. It registers and regulates pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and oversees pharmacies to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, ethics, and related guidelines. Its mission is to regulate pharmacy practice in service of public health and wellbeing, with a vision of being a trusted, collaborative leader that promotes high-quality, safe care and improved patient outcomes. Core values guiding its work are accountability, integrity, and transparency, as outlined in its Council's strategic plan. In May 2026, the College launched an information hub to help registrants understand how the Ministry of Health's expanded scope for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians may apply to practice.
