The Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association is a mid-sized professional body serving educators in publicly funded English Catholic schools across Ontario. Based in Toronto, it supports teachers from Kindergarten through Grade 12 and advocates for their welfare within Ontario's Catholic education system. The association emphasizes a values-based approach to education, incorporating empathy, resilience, and respect into classroom learning. It also pursues policy and advocacy work to promote the principles and strength of Ontario's publicly funded Catholic education system and to advance social and economic justice. In February 2025, OECTA released a report based on a province-wide survey conducted for the association by Pollara Strategic Insights among 2,873 Catholic teachers who are members of the union.
