ONTRAS operates the 7.700 km long transmission system in eastern Germany and is responsible for the reliable and efficient transport of gaseous energy. We are taking a proactive approach to shaping the future and strive to implement sustainable solutions and the benefits that they provide. We are relentlessly driving forward sustainable technical and network planning solutions for the integration and transport of climate-neutral gases, particularly hydrogen. Ready for H2 

We set new technology standards and advance visionary projects together with our partners: Until 2024, we will rededicate the first natural gas pipeline to pure hydrogen. Both of our IPCEI projects make an important contribution to connect our network area to the European Hydrogen Backbone. Furthermore, we are involved in national and European committees for ensuring a rapid market ramp-up of the hydrogen economy.
