Education transforms lives – open education solves education challenges. We believe that education should be open and available for everyone everywhere. We’re building this future together with our members and community.

OEGlobal’s primary role is as a connector. We foster knowledge exchange, advance sustainable systemic change and open policies, amplify impact, and connect local open education efforts to global ones.

OEGlobal maximizes opportunities for expanding open education by collaborating with partners on priorities that include equitable policies and practices, increasing affordability, equipping learners to be leaders and advocates, supporting communities of practice for educators, fostering collaboration, elevating lifelong learning, and “opening” new learning spaces. 

To promote empowerment through open education, OEGlobal concentrates on three focus areas: field building • knowledge exchange • value co-creation.

OEGloball annually coordinates and hosts Open Education Week (OEWeek), the Open Education Global conference (OEGlobal), and Open Education Awards for Excellence (OEAwards). It also facilitates regional hubs such as CCCOER, OELatam and OEGlobal Francophone. The global community discuss challenges and ideas on OEGlobal Connect, and their work is made visible through OEGlobal Voices and OEGlobal Live! Collectively, these efforts bring high-quality, inclusive education to all learners around the world.
