BUSINESS: Open Range Capital Partners (ORCP) is in the business of “industrializing innovation”. We create, build and grow communities of startups – new or existing – to enable mass production of innovation for out-sized value creation and returns.

FOCUS: Today, 20th century brick-n-mortar companies are integrating disruptive digital technologies to transform their businesses. Boundaries between traditional industry and new digital revenue streams are getting blended. Our daily lives are getting more and more digitally connected, socially networked, and integrated through smarter devices. There is a tectonic shift in our buying, consuming and living behavior. Unfortunately, good quality investment vehicles that can foster and rigorously nurture digital transformation, and the much needed good quality support ecosystems (e.g., good startup accelerators) are still very few. There is a huge market gap.

RESULTS: We not only will invest into growing and pre-vetted digital ventures but also into many brick-n-mortar accelerator platforms (buildings with an innovation ecosystems) that help de-risk the startups through quality mentoring, follow on capital, and ensure their accelerated global growth and EXITs. We are into enterprise building for out-sized growth and returns. While traditional VC investments fail 8 times out of 10, our deep experience and insights from working with good quality accelerators shows just the opposite results.
