Open Space for Arts & Community is a multi-use art and community center on Vashon Island in Washington that provides a flexible gathering venue for celebrations, classes, and performances. With artists at the core, it hosts a diverse array of happenings—from concerts and dance nights to theatre and circus performances—that serve the broader community. Its programming includes classes in aerial arts, aikido, parkour, yoga, and circus skills, and it hosts construction skills through the Vashon Tool Library. The site encompasses a 10-acre property with more than 23,000 square feet of flexible, professional spaces. Arts groups in residence include the UMO Ensemble and the UMO School of Physical Arts, and the center hosts community initiatives such as the Night Light Drive In, COVID-19 testing, and the !Attention! Artists at Work program.
