Open Wide Foundation is a small nonprofit based in Scottsdale, Arizona, operating in the philanthropic fundraising services sector to improve oral health in underserved communities by developing sustainable dental clinics in developing countries. These clinics are established in partnership with local governments in areas that lack access to skilled dental care. The organization coordinates volunteer trips for dentists and groups, arranges the transport of donated dental equipment and supplies, and collaborates with local dental universities to provide training and mentoring for the next generation of dentists.

The sustainability plan follows a four-phase framework to determine when a clinic can operate independently: Phase 1 Mission/Outreach, Phase 2 Restorative Care - Basic, Phase 3 Restorative Care - Expanded, Phase 4 Clinic Administration. When a clinic is transferred to the community, Open Wide identifies a new location and begins work there, continuing to collect data to measure the impact on oral health in the area.
