Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point is a festival and training program in opera located near Eureka Springs in Northwest Arkansas. Founded in 1950 by Dr. Henry Hobart and affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs, it is recognized as a training program for singers pursuing opera careers. The program offers participants opportunities to perform in fully produced operas, in an evening scenes program, or in educational outreach, following four weeks of rehearsal and four weeks of performances under the supervision of a professional staff. Operating within the performing arts sector, the organization emphasizes hands-on performance experience and outreach to Northwest Arkansas communities. The festival takes place at Inspiration Point, a lookout site atop Candy Rock Mountain along Route 62, seven miles west of Eureka Springs, offering a scenic venue overlooking the White River Valley and Beaver Lake. As a smaller organization, it concentrates on intensive preparation and public performances as its core activity.
