OralCDx is a brush used to test the common white or red spots found in many people's mouths at one time or another.  While many of these spots are benign, caused by a sharp tooth or a hot drink, about 3% of them can contain precancerous cells.  Undetected, these cells will develop into oral cancer, but if they are found, these spots can be removed long before they can cause harm.

Oral cancer is a disease that kills as many Americans as melanoma, twice as many as cervical cancer, and is rising among women, young people and non-smokers.  Well over 25% of those found to have oral cancer do not use tobacco or abuse alcohol.  Recent studies have also shown a link between HPV and an increase in oral cancer.
