The Orange County Women's Chorus is a performing arts organization based in Laguna Hills, California, with a small staff of 2โ10 employees and a website at ocwomenschorus.org. It is an auditioned chorus of more than 50 singers that performs a diverse repertoire ranging from medieval chant and jazz to opera and Broadway tunes, focusing on music for women's voices from all ages and cultures. Led by Artistic Director Eliza Rubenstein, the ensemble has received regional recognition, including being named an Outstanding Arts Organization in 2014 by Arts Orange County and winning a prize at the 2015 International Musical Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales. The chorus made its Carnegie Hall debut in June 2022, presenting its own repertoire and a massed-choir performance of Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass under Rubenstein's direction. The organization supports women in music by offering an annual conducting internship for a promising young woman conductor and commissioning new works for women's voices.
