Orange Technical College is a not-for-profit higher education institution located in Orlando, Florida, operating within Orange County Public Schools, the seventh-largest school district in the United States. It traces its origins to a 2013 consolidation of five campuses into OCPS Tech Centers and was established as OTC in 2016 under the Orange County School Board and OCPS Superintendent Dr. Barbara M. Jenkins. The college offers career certificate training programs across multiple fields, many culminating in industry certifications, including 3-D animation, licensed practical nursing, automotive service, building construction, culinary arts, web development, and machining. It is the largest provider of adult general education programs in Central Florida, including ESOL and GED training and testing, with a high proportion of students graduating debt-free due to low tuition and broad acceptance of financial aid; most programs take less than 1.5 years and cost about $5,000 or less. OTC operates five local campuses and has engaging external partnerships, such as GravyWork and Hertz, to support training and employment opportunities for students and grads.
