The Orange Unified School District is a public education system providing primary and secondary schooling in California. It serves about 28,000 students across the Cities of Orange, Villa Park, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Santa Ana and surrounding county areas. Founded in 1953, the district spans 108 square miles and maintains its district office in Orange. The district employs a sizable workforce to manage K-12 education across its jurisdiction. In November 2024, the district appointed Michael Christensen as interim superintendent after the departure of the previous superintendent.
