The EEC creates long-term and immediate impacts on local economic profitability and energy security by helping facilities reduce waste in industry. The Energy Efficiency Center is a faculty-supervised, student-run research group on the Oregon State University campus with a mission to promote renewable energies and energy efficiency in the industrial, agricultural and commercial sectors. The Energy Efficiency Center (EEC) has been in operation since 1987, and has gained extensive experience in the industrial sector through the Department of Energy’s Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) program. The Center also operates under other grants for energy efficiency projects, working in the agriculture and commercial sectors.
