Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) is a nonprofit organization based in Port Townsend, Washington, focused on securing and improving seed systems for organic farming. It aims to ensure an abundant and diverse supply of ecologically grown seed, tended by networks of skilled and diverse seed stewards. The organization serves growers across the United States of all scales through participatory research, practical education, policy advocacy, and network development. Its programs encompass organic plant breeding and seed production research, along with advocacy for policies that strengthen organic seed systems. With about two decades of activity, OSA is a recognized institution in the organic seed field, educating thousands of farmers and other agricultural community members each year through on-farm and online events and resources. In November 2025, OSA appointed Cathleen McCluskey as its Executive Director.
