Orion Homes’ 16 residential facilities provide a safe, supportive residential setting as an alternative to long-term psychiatric hospitalization.

Our residents are supported by behavioral health technicians and certified caregivers who provide care, assistance and supervision 24-hours a day in a community-based treatment environment. Our direct care workers are assisted by a multi-disciplinary team which includes behavioral health professionals, registered nurses, licensed counselors and dieticians.

Residents who are placed with Orion Homes typically display a pattern of disruptive or maladaptive behaviors, including verbal and physical aggressiveness, suicidal ideations, self-harm, medication non-compliance, drug seeking and elopement. These behaviors often make if difficult for these men and women to be successful in a typical assisted living setting.

We incorporate a multi-disciplinary model to help our residents manage and resolve distressing thoughts and feelings and improve safety, independence and communication skills.

Our educational day program allows residents to develop computer, organizational and communication skills. Our work program allows them to use these skills to earn a paycheck, while developing a positive work history for the future.
