The Oswegoland Park District is a public recreational agency based in Oswego, Illinois, serving a 38-square-mile area and roughly 65,000 residents (about 20,000 households). Established in 1950, it aims to create opportunities for a healthy community by providing recreational programming for people of all ages. The district manages 1,301 acres of parks and natural areas across 66 parks, greenways, and natural spaces. Facilities include three recreation centers, two outdoor pools, a splash pad, an 18-hole golf course, and a historical museum, with a wide range of amenities spread across the district’s parks. The service area covers the Village of Oswego, portions of Montgomery, Aurora, and Plainfield, along with Boulder Hill, surrounding Oswego Township countryside, and a small portion of Will County. In 2025, the district appointed Jim Reuter as interim executive director.
