Oundle School is a United Kingdom-based education institution located in the market town of Oundle, with a campus scattered across the town and a pupil roll of about 1,130, including 820 boarders and 310 day pupils. The school runs as a boarding and day school with a focus on science, mathematics, design, technology and engineering, reinforced by the SciTec project completed in 2016, which includes the Patrick Engineering Centre, a new Mathematics department and an expansion to sixteen science laboratories. Its history traces to 1556 when Sir William Laxton endowed and re-founded the original Oundle Grammar School; in 1876 the Grocers' Company divided the school into Laxton Grammar School and Oundle School, and in 2000 the two were reunited under the common name. The school is associated with the Grocers' Company, with Laxton retained as the name of the day House, and Laxton Junior School operates within the Corporation of Oundle School for children aged 4 to 11. The organization employs approximately 201 to 500 staff.
