Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and School is located in a Northern Virginia suburb of the Washington DC Metropolitan area.  Situated in a residential neighborhood in Vienna VA, OLGC has over 9,000 members and serves the greater Vienna community.  OLGC is administered by priests who are members of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales.  Their Salesian Spirituality imbues all church and school programs and activities.

We are called to foster an environment of hospitality in accordance with the Spirituality of St. Francis de Sales.

OLGC School (www.olgcschool.org) is a Preschool-Grade 8 school with approximately 510 students enrolled.  The Virginia Catholic Education Association (VCEA) has accredited OLGC School since 1972. OLGC School is also a member of the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and was awarded U.S. Department of Education "No Child Left Behind" Blue Ribbon School status.  As part of its educational program, OLGC School strives for academic excellence, encourages appreciation of the fine arts, fosters self-respect and respect for all life, and attempts to develop responsibility for the total community.  The integration of religious truth and values with life is the focal point of the curriculum. 

The school includes a computer lab, science lab, library, music room, band room, art room, resource room, gymnasium, cafeteria, playground, playing fields, a school-wide technology network, the Internet, desktop and laptop computers, wireless slates, LCD and document projectors, wireless access, and interactive whiteboards.
