Outsider Art Fair is a New York City-based platform for presenting outsider art to collectors, galleries, and cultural institutions. Founded in 1993 by Sandy Smith, it developed into a recognized gathering that fostered a dedicated collecting community, originally drawing crowds to the Puck Building. In 2013, the fair relocated to Center 548 in Chelsea and broadened its programming with guest curatorial projects and the OAF Talks program. The event was acquired in 2012 by Wide Open Arts, a new entity formed by art dealer Andrew Edlin, reflecting a shift in its leadership. A notable recent development is the launch of RUN STORE, a curated project announced in 2026.
